Internet activity skyrocketed during the COVID-19 pandemic, as nearly every aspect of our lives transitioned online. In today’s online world, IT professionals are critical, working to keep our cyber-world functioning properly. Amid a global pandemic, employment of IT professionals has remained steady, largely unaffected by the economic downturn COVID has caused. IT professionals are essential, and now, more than ever, their training, skills, and services are in high demand. At ATA College, we offer IT training programs to teach you the skills online and knowledge to fill critically important IT positions.
Can You Get Professional IT Training Online?
At ATA College, we offer both online and on-campus IT training programs students need to be successful in today’s world. The United States Bureau of Labor Statistics recently reported the employment of IT professionals is projected to continue growing, adding thousands of jobs to the economy, despite the economic slowdown caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
If you are good with new technology, have excellent problem-solving skills, and are interested in a career in a field that is growing, online IT training may be a good choice for you! At ATA College, we offer two training programs designed to prepare students for rewarding IT careers, the Software and Development program is offered online:
Software Development and Programming
Software developers design computer applications or programs, and most work in computer systems design and related services, in manufacturing, or for software publishers. These IT professionals analyze users’ needs and then design and develop software to meet those needs. Software developers also recommend software upgrades for customers’ existing programs and systems, as well as design each piece of an application or system and plan how the pieces will work together. If you are creative, innovative, and good at problem-solving, a career in software development and programming may be right for you.

Fiber Optics for Professionals (FFP)
Optical fiber is used by telecommunications companies to transmit telephone signals, internet communication, and cable television signals, and is also used in the medical, defense/government, data storage, and industrial/commercial industries. Fiber optic technology has taken on increasing importance in industrial data communications systems as well, and workers in this field are in high demand for their services. If you have a technical mind and precise attention to detail, a career in fiber optics technology may be right for you.
