ATA’s Criminal Justice and Public Safety Diploma focus are on real-world knowledge, skills, and applications that are in demand in today’s market by employers in both the public and private sectors. At ATA College, students study the U.S. Constitution, American court systems, Federal and California state laws, and past and current criminal trends. Students learn how to properly articulate, format, and complete various types of reports and professional communications. Prior to graduation, students are introduced to the application process for various local, state, and federal agencies, so they can be prepared to pursue immediate employment following graduation.

Criminal Justice and Public Safety Diploma 

The Criminal Justice and Public Safety Diploma is now offered completely online or in a hybrid format and can be completed in as few as 36 weeks (40 semester credits). After completing this 9-month diploma program, ATA students have the option to continue with courses in the Associate of Science program. Students can complete the necessary coursework and earn their Associate of Science, Criminal Justice degree in an additional 6 months (60 weeks, 71 semester credits). Students in the AS degree program may choose their emphasis from the following options: Homeland Security, Corrections, Crime Scene Investigations, and Corporate Security.
