This EKG technician course provides an overview of the human body. It introduces students to the structure, function, and diseases of the human body. It also introduces students to related terminology used in the clinical settings to describe body positions and parts. Emphasis will be on cardiovascular system.
This EKG technician course introduces the student to medical terminology as they relate to the anatomical structure of the human body. Introduction to body system root words, prefixes, suffixes, and introductory terminology. Emphasis is on cardiovascular system terminology. Medical language and accepted medical abbreviations related to electrocardiograms.
This EKG technician course provides comprehensive instruction on electrocardiographs, characteristics of normal electrocardiogram rhythms, procedures, and quality assurance protocol. Upon completion of this course, ATA College students will be eligible to take the national certification exam.
